problem a lot. When ever I write an update of a program, I have to manually go to each
machine an put a new copy. This is a small FTP client that compares the date and size of
the files on the local machine and the server. If the file is different, it gets displayed
in a different color and the user can double click it to download the latest copy. There
is no installation for this utility also. Just copy the file in the same directory where

| This is a component for Borland C++ Builder 3.0. BCB comes with a feature that allows
the programmer to maintain the version information along with the executable. However, it
is a bit difficult if you want to read that information in your program. This component
solves this problem. Full source code is included along with the header file. Read the
comment at the beginning of the file for the usage. Please let me know if you find any bug
or enhance it. Note: These file are plain text files. Sometimes when downloading, browser changes the extension from .cpp to .exe. Change the extension back to .cpp and open it in any text editor. I have not tested this component with BCB 1.0. However, I can't think of any reason why it would not work with it. |
